WOMAN IN INTERIOR CONSTRUCTION
AOTEAROA (WICA)
Women in Interior Construction Aotearoa (WICA) is a dedicated strategic working group providing valuable guidance to The Association of Wall & Ceiling Industries (AWCI) with a focus on empowering more women to thrive in the Interior Construction sector.
Our mission is to ensure that the industry is seen as a viable, safe, and fulfilling long-term career path for women.
committed to identifying & promoting the necessary qualifications & skill training needed for women
We are committed to identifying and promoting the necessary qualifications and skill training needed for women entering or advancing in the field. Our working group aims to address and remove barriers faced by women in the interior construction sector, while also showcasing the wide variety of career opportunities available both on and off-site.
Ensuring everyone has access to essential information and guidance is central to our purpose, as we work to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for women in the industry.
Our working group currently includes seven women from across the Interior Construction sector, representing both on-site and off-site roles.
